Canvas Wrapping
This popular style involves wrapping a canvas print around a wooden framework. It is intended for hanging straight onto your wall without an external frame. It is printed on Hahnemuhle Artist Canvas (340gsm) which is acid free and fully archival. After printing, the image is sealed with a specially formulated varnish (available in Matt, Satin or Gloss), further increasing the archival length of the print.
The service we offer is of the highest quality and not to be confused with any other similar service (such as soft material dye sublimation printing or emulsion peeling and bonding onto canvas).
Our frameworks are custom made to your required dimensions. The canvas is then stretched in place with the image literally wrapping around and continuing onto the sides of the framework. The solid backs of our framework avoid the problems of loose canvas and indenting, which can sometimes occur with open-backed, conventional stretchers. They are also nearly three times as deep (2”), giving you a more contemporary look.
